We are proud to announce the successful launch of our newest product, the EHTV+ automatic camera system, during the Euro Hockey League 2022.
The EHL was a great opportunity for us to test out our new technology and see how it would stand up to real-world challenges. To start off, we are very proud of (and positively surprised with) the achievement that we all pulled off at the EHL given the final timeline that we had.
Even though there was very limited time, many uncertainties and dependencies that could break the software, we were able to make recordings at a level that at least equaled the pilot recordings at Braxgata a few weeks before (disregarding autofocus and auto-iris). A very nice accomplishment. Within a couple of days, a new camera controller was set up, optical zoom was implemented and penalty corner detection was deployed for the first time. Some great footage was captured in just a few days!
According to us, given these constraints—and even though it wasn’t perfect—this was one of our best launches yet. It was even possible to record a match (the first one) that exceeded the quality of Braxgata’s recording and made use of optical zoom.
